What is the difference between a Debit and ATM card?
A Debit Card is similar to a credit card except that it is tied directly to your checking account, so you can only spend up to the amount available in your account at the time you use your card* (or up to your daily spending limit). Debit cards can be used at stores, for online purchases and to withdraw cash from an ATM by using your PIN number.
An ATM Card allows you to withdraw cash from an ATM machine with the use of your PIN number.
What do I do if I have lost my card?
Please call Shazam at 1-800-383-8000.
How do I find ATM's with no fees?
We have an ATM located in the southwest corner of the bank as well as in the entryway of Alta Vista Insurance in Alta Vista. You can also look for an ATM that is part of the Privileged Status Network, which Peoples Savings Bank is a part of, because they will not surcharge you for a transaction. Go to www.shazam.net to find an Privileged Status Network ATM locator.
What services do you offer to help prevent and/or identify fraud?
We offer a free service called Shazam Bolt. It provides alerts via text or e-mail when high-risk transactions or purchases exceeding the limit you have set have been made.
Also, you may may receive calls from Shazam to verify Debit Card transactions that are susbpected as fraud. Calls from Shazam will show up on your caller ID as 1-855-219-5399. We recommend saving this number in your phone as "Shazam Fraud" so you will easily recognize it if they call you.
